One of the features will be the first cruise ship to mix waterslides and roller coasters. The Aqua Slidecoaster will also be the longest and fastest slide at sea.

It will have twin slides and a magnetic lift to propel adventurous guests through two different routes.

The second new feature Norwegian Aqua brings to the cruise industry will be in the ship's thermal suite. Norwegian is famous for its Mandala Spa, and this ship is no exception.

Norwegian Aqua will feature the first maritime clay sauna, a revitalizing spa service that rejuvenates the skin through detoxifying cleansing and gentle exfoliation.

The spa suites will also feature twice the normal number of heated lounge chairs as well as familiar amenities such as charcoal saunas, ice rooms, salt rooms and flotation salt pools.

Norwegian Air announced today that two-time Emmy Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet will serve as Norwegian Aqua's godfather at next year's naming ceremony.

Norwegian Cruise Line President David J. Herrera issued the following statement regarding Eric Stonestreet naming the ship:

“We are so excited to officially welcome Eric Stonestreet to the NCL team! We had a wonderful time with Eric on one of our boats and later with his amazing family. Over the past few Over the months, Eric has become a true friend of NCL.

“Eric’s sincerity, intelligence, charisma and genuine desire to bring happiness to the masses embody the role of the Godfather of Aqua Norway, but also embody who we are and what we stand for as a company. We are honored to have Eric as the Godfather of Aqua Norway !”

Norwegian Aqua will be Norwegian Cruise Line's first Prima Plus-class cruise ship, with a gross tonnage of 156,300 tons. It is 1,056 feet long and can accommodate 3,571 guests in double occupancy.

The cruise will sail from Port Canaveral on April 26, 2025 for a seven-night cruise to the Caribbean.

Norwegian Aqua will also offer cruise services from New York and Miami during the ship's first year in service.
