The UIAA is deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic passing of Dario Andenmatten and joins his family, friends and peers in mourning. Dario will be remembered as a passionate leader, host of the Britannia Lodge, one of the longest-serving organizers of the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup and World Championships, the iconic competition in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, and most Most importantly, being a great person, athlete and friend. The International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA) stands alongside Dario's loved ones and the team of organizers in Saas-Fee.
